Barton County Community College – Great Bend

  • Barton County Community College was formed July 15, 1965, through an election by the people of Barton County, Kansas. The College was created to provide students in Barton County an opportunity to obtain an education at a low cost within commuting distance. The Mission of Barton Community College is to provide quality educational opportunities that are accessible, affordable, continuously improving and student focused. Coffeyville Community College – Coffeyville

  • Coffeyville Community College is governed by a six member Board of Trustees elected from the Coffeyville Community College district. This district comprises the southern half of Montgomery County including the cities of Coffeyville, Caney, Tyro and Dearing. Coffeyville Community College is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Cowley College – Winfield

Garden City Community College – Garden City

  • Garden City Community College is officially accredited by The Higher Learning Commission  of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools,www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org, (800) 621-7440. In addition, the GCCC Nursing Program is accredited by the Kansas State Board of Nursing and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). Certain GCCC programs have also obtained other specific individual accreditation. GCCC has been accepted for the continuous quality improvement accreditation model by the national Academic Quality Improvement Project.

Hutchinson Community College – Hutchinson

  • The college continued to renovate and expand with the completion of a major renovation and construction project on the decades-old Science Hall. The facility was revamped into a modern scientific facility and was renamed the Richard E. Smith Science Center to recognized the major contributions of local entrepreneur and alumnus Richard Smith. The new facility was dedicated in the fall of 2010.The college has two off-campus sites: McPherson and Newton. A licensed practical nursing program is offered by HCC at McPherson Memorial Hospital. The Newton site is housed in the Axtell Educational Center.

Johnson County Community College – Overland Park

  • Johnson County Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org, 312-263-0456). In addition, individual programs are accredited by associated professional organizations. Using appropriate application of research methods, efficient data management, informative reporting and active incorporation of feedback, we support executive decision making and strategic planning, provide official data to the college community, and support academic and assist administrative departments in their planning and assessment initiatives.

Kansas City Kansas Community College – Kansas City

  • Kansas City Kansas Community College is a public, urban, open-door, and comprehensive community college committed to excellence in higher education. Through an accessible and supportive learning environment, the college mission is to provide higher education and lifelong learning to the varied communities, primarily in its service area of Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties. Kansas City Kansas Community College was founded in 1923 as part of the Public School System of Kansas City, Kansas. In 1965, in accordance with legislation governing two-year colleges in the State of Kansas, the name of the College changed to Kansas City Kansas Junior College. Then in 1979, legislative action created another name change for the two-year colleges in the State of Kansas. The term junior was dropped from their names and replaced with community; at this time the College officially became known as Kansas City Kansas Community College.
